An area with a lot of Muslims, and Arabs and South Asians. An area that is supposed to be tolerant. An area that is filled with many government officials. I can’t help but wonder if someone who works in the government and lives in Sterling wrote that letter. Islamophobia affects us all. And worst of all, it affects people who are not even Muslim. Although they are not Muslim, they are being targeted because of the way they look. This was meant for us. To anyone who thinks Islamophobia is dead, it’s not.
